Through observation and thought, it can be a long list.
There are many variations between the states such as when Summer (hot) changes to Winter (cold) … fractions of a state but the boundaries seem to be between 2 binary states. This is like a light switch … it is either full on of off. However, if you use a dimmer, you have variations between full on and off. You cannot, however, go beyond full on or beyond full off.

Does a binary world ease our ability to exist by reducing the complexity of many possibilities? Does it give us the ability to create with limitations as we learn from an infant state of evolution so as not to hurt ourselves and the Universe?
Binary is a good, safe starting point. Conquer the binary state and move on.
